Residential Treatment

WHAT TO BRING into Residential Treatment

What to Wear

Dress like you would be going to school. You are in a school of Recovery. Dress comfortable, but appropriate.
Work out attire.
Clothing for the season
Flat-soled or tennis shoes are recommended
Sunglasses, hats and jacket for outdoor activities
No facial piercings except earrings.
Jewelry allowed, but do not recommend bringing valuables
Undergarments
Bathrobe, slippers and pajamas

What to Bring

Money for monthly bus pass and on-going personal items and toiletries. Reloadable Fry’s Grocery cards are best for personal items, cigarettes, and extra food items.
Calling card for long-distance phone calls
Shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste& toothbrush, shaving razors, feminine hygiene products
Curling/Flat Iron, hair dryer
Bring AA Big Book, NA Book, or other recovery focused material
Pens, pencils and paper/notebooks as you will need these for groups
Medication Scripts – we fill medications on site. Any new medications must be filled from our pharmacy. Other medications from home, such as vitamins, can be brought in. You are encouraged to bring ibuprofen and cold/flu medicine “just in case you need it”.

Personal snack or food – Junk food and sugary drinks are allowed in moderation
Any hobbies, such as knitting, artwork, reading material, yoga mat, crafts
Ipod, MP3 player, and/or alarm clock

Non-Approved Items

No items that contain alcohol in the first 3 ingredients are allowed. Do determine what products are alcohol free – Google Alcohol Free products at Walmart. You will get a great list of products that you can shop for easily.
No clothing that depicts alcohol/drugs
Short-shorts
Shirts that show mid area or cleavage

Our Philosophy

We specialize in treating people who have dual-diagnosis concerns. This means that 2 issues are presenting symptoms at the same time. This may include someone having an addiction, but who is also depressed and anxious. Another individual may have bipolar, but they also have social anxiety. Regardless of the symptoms, we treat the root cause of the problem. Fixing things at the root helps manage the problem better and helps the person be able to manage recurring symptoms in the future, more successfully.
